Bolt&Nut Sizes

Bolt&nut sizes can be different because of the product or desired strenght. Bolt and nut, which are companions to each other, are often used together. The task of the nut here is to provide a better tightening of the bolts. Now let's examine the types of bolts;

Bolt Types

Bolt Nut Types According to Head Shapes

· Hexagon head bolts

· Allen bolts

· countersunk bolts

· Screwdriver head bolts

· Phillips head bolts

Special Purpose Bolt Types (produced in different sizes than standard bolt&nut sizes, depending on the need)

· Ring head bolts

· Eye bolts

· U bolts

· Flange Bolts

Bolt Types According to Body Shape

· Headless bolts (studs)

· tension bolts

· screw pins

· sheet metal screws

· smart screws

· wood screws

· flexible bolts

· Body tolerance bolts

Difference Between Bolt and Screw

The main difference between bolt and screw is that bolt has no ability to drill holes whereas screw has the option of drilling holes. Generally, bolt&nut sizes differ with the bolt usage, but the screw generally has a standart size. And the size values of the bolt are also larger than the screws.

How is Bolt Produced

Bolt&nut sizes can be made from many different materials, but we want to touch on the production of the more common steel bolts. First of all, lets describe this process in the form of a list, then we will talk about the production of the bolt in general. They complement each other with the bolt. It is one of the important parts frequently used in sectors such as construction, furniture, automotive and machinery. This automaiton is usually the same for all bolt nut size chart products.

· Wire Drawing

· Pressing

· Indention

· Heat Treatment

· Covering

· Packaging

How the Steel Bolts Produced

The raw material of steel bolt&nut sizes, as the name suggests, is steel. Raw material steels come to the manufacturer with damages on their outer surfaces. So it goes through some processing. First of all, it is put into an acid bath, where surface cleaning takes place. Afterwards, the phosphate bath is started, the purpose of which is to reduce the friction coefficiency.

After that, the wire drawing process is started. The purpose of the wire drawing process is to reach the diameter of the raw materials that come in different bolt&nut sizes to the wire diameter determined in the design. During the wire drawing process, the wire rod material is regularly wound and turns into a semi-finished product by entering and exiting the dies. The dimensions requested by the customer are also reached at this stage.

The next step, threading, is passed. At this stage, threading machines with two teeth come into play and threading is performed. Bolt nut types that successfully pass the threading stage are subjected to heat treatment. In heat treatment, the lattice structure of the bolts changes and is hardened by cooling in oil. If the hardening process is excessive, the tempering process is applied.

The purpose here is to reduce the brittleness of bolts with high hardness. After the bolt reaches the desired dimensions, the coating process is started. The type of coating varies in which areas the bolt will be used. When all these processes are successfully completed, the desired amount of packaging is carried out and delivered to the user.

What is a Nut

Nuts are auxiliary materials used with tools that have the ability to connect parts such as bolts and studs. Nuts are used for better tightening of bolts. If we say the second element of the connection in the bolt&nut sizes, we will make a more accurate definition.

Production Phase

There are materials such as nuts, screws, bolts, bolt nut washer, rivets and fasteners in the industry. These materials are of great importance for both the machinery industry and the construction industry. Fasteners consist of materials that keep hundreds of items that we use in our daily life together.

The repertoire of the fastener industry is extremely wide. With the number of materials reaching 3 thousand, the fasteners sector emerges as a rising sector every day. Although it is not a well-known sector in our country, we can easily say that it actually forms the basis of large sectors.

The fasteners sector has a great contribution to the construction sector, which is a sector that has been rising in recent years, especially in our country. With the increasing material demands, the sectors are growing depending on each other and as a result, extremely important contributions are made to the economy of our country. This is a factor that makes us knowledgable about bolt&nut sizes.

Bolt Wrench Manufacturing

Steel bars are subjected to longitudinal cutting process by die cutting machine. These bars, which are cut evenly, are sent to the forging press after a heating process of 100 degrees. Steel bars are put into molds of which dimensions are determined and pressure is applied. In order to get rid of the burrs around and on the edges, cutting and filing is done. This is used with bolt nuts.
